Features

Our goal is to develop an easy to use, friendly web application to share contact information, calendars, tasks, documents and links between company employees, in an online, safe environment, available from everywhere. This is just a list with most of the features of iAssistant.NET web application:

General characteristics:

  • Secure - multiple accounts per company sharing the same information, protected with passwords;
  • Integrated - MS Outlook Express contacts import / export, MS Outlook contacts, events and tasks import / export; Mobile access thru WAP and PDA import / export coming soon;
  • Cross-browser solution, tested with Internet Explorer, FireFox, Mozilla and others;
  • Fully documented with help files, screenshots and more;
  • Online support forums for pre-sale (guest accounts welcome, you don't have to register), post-sale questions, wish-list and break-time free discussions; Registration in forums has nothing to do with registered members (you can register in forums even if you are not a website member);

Functionality:

  • Quick access from main page to last entries, next events or tasks and links to add new information;
  • Manage contacts, organized by categories and/or companies, with multiple information fields;
  • Manage companies, organized by groups;
  • Contacts and companies searchable and browsable by start letter (quick access by name);
  • Calendar with events organized by groups or companies, with quick links to next events, based on current search criteria;
  • Tasks organized by groups or status, with link to quick status toggle;
  • Documents organized by groups and/or type, with icons for all well-knows document types, links to open them in browser or download; Documents are safely stored on our server with no direct access to them other than provided links, when necessary (users can't guess your document URL);
  • Links organized in groups and/or 3 categories: custom links updateable directly, contacts links or company links updateable thru their profiles;
  • Groups, which is a general way to organize all information for quick access. Apply to contacts, companies, events, tasks, documents and links.

Usability:

  • Delete confirmations, available item by item basis or multiple items at once;
  • Printer friendly pages;
  • Customizable items number per page with records displayed on multiple pages;
  • Quick access to any page (can add to favorites);
  • Using cookies to store access login info in secure, non shared environment (no need to login again);
  • Quick links to access records in the same group or related information, when available;
  • Tooltips available for most operations (keep 1-2 sec. mouse over an icon);
  • Links to directly open Instant Messengers for contacts;
  • Easy to use web application;
  • No advertising after login, for members.

Other features:

  • Import or export data to MS Outlook or MS Outlook Express. Can import or export contacts from/into MS Outlook Express and contacts, events and tasks from/into MS Outlook.
  • Quick notes available in all pages from left side panel, saved into database;
  • Can setup an alert with custom text for current day;
  • Up to 5 quick links available permanently in all pages in left panel;
  • Updateable profile to change password, name, email or phone;
  • Quick Google, Yahoo or MSN search box, directly into iAssistant.NET;
