Answers:

  1. What Calendar is?
    Calendar consists in events organized by dates and hours, available in custom groups. To keep it simply we displayed only day time hours (8:00 AM - 8:00 PM).
    Events could be associated to a contact or company. You can specify for an event location, start and end date and time, and unlimited text notes.

  2. How events are displayed?
    There are a few ways to display events:
    • Events from selected day, by hours;
    • Current month calendar with links to all days having events;
    • Next events (there are displayed half of the items per page selected in your profile).
    Clicking on an event you will get all its details and a button to update it (you can edit it only from details page).
    In calendar you have links to directly go back to current day and display all events when used search criteria. You can easily select events from a group or from a company.

  3. How can I add new event?
    Easy, using Add New Event button. You must provide a subject and start date. End date is optional like all other fields. After adding one event you are redirected to edit page with a link to add a new one.

  4. How can I view or edit details?
    When click on event name (subject) you'll get details page with alink to edit it (Update). That's the only way to edit an existing event.

  5. How can I print records?
    You can print all selected events displayed in Next Events list (left-bottom corner). You can't print passed events.
    When click on print icon () you'll get a printer-friendly page with a dialog box to confirm printing (always needs confirmation for security reasons implemented in all browsers).

  6. How can I import or export records?
    Calendar events could be exported or imported into MS Outlook. To export (future) events you only have to select them and click on export icon (). Provide a file name and save it locally. To import events from MS Outlook or even previously exported events from iAssistant.NET go to Import (top-left side frame), then Browse for a local file (*.csv), choose appropriate destination type (Calendar) and hit Import button. All events are automatically added into your calendar.
    To import or export events in MS Outlook, open MS Outlook, then from the menu File -> Import and Export ... choose Export to a file or Import from another program or file. In next step select Comma Separated Values (DOS) or Comma Separated Values (Windows), then select folder (Calendar in this case) and pick the file to be imported or exported to. You are done.

  7. How events are associated to contacts or companies?
    When editing an event you can select or type a contact or company name to associate this event with. There is a limit of 50 records: for less than this limit is displayed a select list to choose from. For more than 50 records there is a text-box where you can type in part of their names and click Find button. A small popup window will allow you to select all contacts or companies that meet that criteria (or entire list if nothing was typed in). You should pick one entry and scroll down to Select button. You might need to allow popups windows, if you have an popup blocker.

  8. Other tips for Calendar?
    • You can display more next events changing items per page from your profile;
    • You can directly go to current day clicking Today link in calendar;
    • If you are not sure if used search criteria or not hit Display All link to display all events for selected month;
    • You can easily navigate to any month and/or year, or use previous / next month links;
    • You can't schedule an event with granularity smaller than 30 minutes;
